Nickname Available

The music world lost two more saxophone greats in January: Hank Crawford and David 'Fathead' Newman. Both alumni of the Ray Charles band, Fathead and Hank passed within ten days of each other, on the 20th and 29th respectively.

So, it's been brought to my attention that there is a nickname available. And it has also been brought to my attention (on multiple occasions) that I have an abnormally large head. I invite you to check the photos below, and if it's anatomically correct, put in your vote for me as Fathead's heir. . .

Nicknames aside, both these guys were jazz heavyweights. Sure, they were more known for their rhythm and blues playing. However, they could both play bebop with the best of them. In interviews, David Sanborn has mentioned both these cats as inspiration!

They will be missed.
